1. Extrusion
Rubber sealing strips for automobiles are extruded by a cold-feed extruder, and the extrusion heads include single heads, compound (double compound and multi compound) heads and shear heads. Among them, the screw aspect ratio of the microwave vulcanization extruder is generally 16, and the screw aspect ratio of the shear head vulcanization extruder is greater than 20.
2. Vulcanization
The semi-finished rubber sealing strip extruded by the cold feed extruder is vulcanized by a continuous vulcanization process. The vulcanization methods include microwave vulcanization, shear head vulcanization, salt bath vulcanization and fluidized bed vulcanization (also known as vulcanized bed vulcanization, the heating medium is medium 0.1 -0.2 mm glass beads, the temperature is 250°C), hot air vulcanization (only for silicone rubber sealing strips) and high-speed hot air vulcanization (air velocity is 120km h-1, temperature is 400°C). High-speed hot air vulcanization due to slow heat transfer and high energy consumption of heating equipment (3 times that of microwave vulcanization heating equipment, 5 times that of shear head vulcanization equipment).
